85If you have never made soap before you might want to read How to Make Homemade No Cook Soap to review the process. These recipes are for the melt and pour soaps but can be used for any other soap recipe you like to use.
Making homemade soap is fun and it is easy to do. You can make it unique to your own skincare needs or create unique combinations of scents. When soap is homemade it has none of the chemicals and other impurities of soap that is made commercially. Best of all, it is a frugal gift that is welcome by most people.
Make up a variety of soaps now for gift giving later on. You can create soap gift baskets or make molded guest soaps for your own use. Use your imagination and your handmade soap is sure to be a hit with those you give it to.

Hi. Last month, I made a lye soap for family use. I used only lye and lard and some coconut oil. I gave some to my aunties and uncles because I made many extra to give away. I got a lot of compliments. I would like to try your Almond Cherry Soap recipe. Who knows, this time I will be receiving orders after free samples. Nice Hub to bookmark. Thank you for the recipe.
Look like something nice to try. Yes making my own soap will be better since I'll know all the chemicals that I'll use.
Thanks, great hub
Nice hub. I liked your recipe for making home made soap.it is cheap , pure and safe for body.
can you make any kind of soap for bodily use that is kind to the gentler sides of life without making your feet crack and her hands dry out thats what I would need and look forward to hearing from you, thank you very so much today on 09/01/2010
Your writing ability impressed me a lot.It was really a great read about soap recipes.
That almond cherry soap sounds wonderful! Thank you for the hub.
These are wonderful recipes for homemade soap. I know first hand as I make my own soaps especially the melt and pour process. I do not use the commercial soaps as they tend to dry out my skin. I use a lot of good oils in my soaps that are really beneficial to my skin. I replace all the oils that have been removed from the commercial soaps. They are just wonderful and heavenly. I will also try your soap recipes.
almond cherry ..I bet it smells great!
A friend just made lavender soap for her daughter's wedding shower (she put them in little drawstring bags). It made me curious about how to make homemade soap. When you melt the Castile, do you add water? Does it just melt on its own in a pan? Can you reuse pots used for soap, or are they no longer good for other things (cooking, whatever)?
Thanks for the great recipes! As soon as I figure how to do this, I'll be trying it out!
